Clarke is a seventeen year old that was a medical apprentice on the ship. She was charged with treason along with her parents. Clarke’s parents were executed while she was only sent to confinement. The landing on earth did not go well and there were injuries. While on earth a boy named Graham took power in the camp. He abuses his power in the camp and the camp is unhappy. After living on earth and getting used to it, there is a fire in the camp. Many people die along with Clarke’s close friend Thalia. Bellamy’s sister Octavia is missing after the fire and then a boy named Asher is struck with an arrow. The one hundred thought that there was no human life on earth, but they were wrong.
Overall, The 100 was a good read. The best part of this book was reading it through four different perspectives. It gave the reader more events happening at the same time but in different chapters, which was neat. One bad thing about this book was that the author did not go into much detail on many characters. There were many characters on earth but only a handful was featured. This novel would be a tremendous read for anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic stories or someone who enjoys reading about the struggles of living in a dystopian
