The first point that supports the fact that this is an act of heroism is that the barber is avenging the deaths of the rebels that were killed by Captain Torres. In paragraph twelve, the barbers internal thoughts stated “His name was Torres-Captain Torres… A man of imagination, because who else would have thought of hanging the naked rebels and holding target practice on their bodies.” In analysis, This proves that Captain Torres is a cruel and brutal person and it also shows the cruel acts that Captain Torres performs on the bodies of naked rebels. A coward is a man who fails at attaining courage to do something. The difference between a coward and a brave man is the overthinking of things. The coward is a selfish man who thinks twice unlike the brave man. Men fear what they lack knowledge over, and the brave think they know the obstacle they face.
