Max tripped his sister after she destroyed his drawing and knocked over the pencil crayons, which is something that Ally wouldn’t do if she wasn’t vaccinated. We can draw the conclusion that Max is an extremely passive-aggressive person because he doesn’t confront her directly. Instead, he opts to show hostility towards Ally indirectly by tripping her and blaming it on her clumsiness. He also gave her the finger while her back is turned, and he received satisfaction from seeing her suffer. This is a drastic contrast from Max’s attitude towards Ally in the previous chapters, especially when he lied about Peanut to make her feel better. In those scenes, we see the caring big brother who loves his little sister more than anything in the world.
