Ginny could barely wait as the night trickled by. Mother cried for hours about losing her precious child,

and after a while, even Father stopped trying to calm her down. Ginny understood that her Mother

To answer your question then, I can’t dance.”

"You don't mean to tell me that a well off, gorgeous, British lady has couldn’t learned to dance, but a

Ginny began to laugh. Ben knew how to dance? She couldn't believe it. She tried picturing him in a

ballroom, all gussied up. She imagined him wearing one of those ridiculous wigs. The picture only

caused Ginny to giggle She wished she could see it in real life.

Ginny was so lost in thought she almost didn't hear Ben say, "On your feet Miss Miller, it’s time

At least she hadn't slipped into unconsciousness, or drifted into a coma, elicited by the loss of blood, an adrenaline rush comedown and shock at all that happened in the past twenty-four hours, which is what he'd been afraid of, too busy piloting the helicopter, to be able to stop and assist, or keep her awake. Just a few more minutes, he'd kept telling himself, as he'd landed and thrown the water in her face, and then he'd take care of her, and attempt to put all right.
