The book, as it is a biography on President Kennedy, is also then a biographical non-fiction. On the last few pages of the book the author and illustrator have included their notes for their primary and secondary sources adding to the credibility of the book. Each February since we focus so much on the Presidents of the United States, I would pick one each day to talk about. I think with this book, the set up and illustrations make it very relatable and easy for children to understand, so I would read it to the class, then we could discuss the book after and decide if we thought we learned a lot about them from a picture book, or if we would need to know more
