A young boy builds a computer that receives messages from Heaven and he must deliver the messages to the receipants in order to read a message from his own father, but the FBI are determined to confiscate the mysterious laptop.

BRIEF SYNOPSIS
JOSH TURTLETAUB’s (10) life is shattered when his father is killed in a car accident that injures Josh. One year later, Josh, who lives with his mother NORA (39) and his sister, IZZY (17), is still healing from his loss. He dreams about his father and having headaches. Josh is fascinated with Edison’s “Life Units” a machine Edison was inventing to communicate with the dead.
To help him cope, his best friend, KAHLO (11), suggests that Josh email her like she’s his father and she’ll send an email back. In the attic, Josh finds a laptop that his father and Josh were building together. Josh decides to email his “father” and send it to Kahlo.

When he reads the email, it disappears.
Josh thinks it from Kahlo, but when she tells him she never sent him an email back, he’s confused. He gives Kahlo the message from the email, which appears to be from Kahlo’s grandmother. Josh and Kahlo think its email from Heaven.
Soon Josh receives more email messages and realizes he has to deliver them. Izzy finds out but they keep it secret from their mother. Josh gets an email from his father, but isn’t able to open it until he has delivered all other email messages.
NSA and the FBI are alerted to a mysterious server. Word about Josh receiving emails from Heaven gets out to the public and he’s invited on a TV show. Nora goes out of town for a convention and has no idea about the show. When the FBI sees Josh interviewed, they decide to confiscate the laptop. Josh and Izzy flee from the agents, they need to deliver the messages and then open the one from their father. They head to the convention to find their mother and a
