The next morning, as Hunnigan brushed her brown hair by the window. Outside she should have seen the sun barely peeking behind the distant surroundings, but all she saw was thick clouds and rain. She heard a knock at her door. “You may enter.” she spoke casually, already knowing who it was. The door creaked open and a shy little handmaiden walked in. Her blonde hair just simply braided. “Ah, there you are.” A smile appeared on Hunnigan’s face as she placed the brush down at the table. “I assume all went accordin’ to plan, Izra?” She asked as the handmaiden walked over to Hunnigan.

“Aye,” Izra began as she pulled something from her sleeve. The shy facade changed to one of oozing confidence. “All for the motherland.” Lady Mossbow repeated the

The doors were open and the King was screamin’ like a warlord. I could barely make it out, but I saw him standin’ in front of his throne yellin’ at Lord Nimas-”

“His Advisor?” Hunnigan’s jaw went slack. “Who else was there?” It reminded the Master of Coin of bad times, and just like last time she could not hide from it this time either.

“Aye, twas his hand, m’Lady. Royal guards were there along with the Master of Secrets and Science.” The Handmaiden’s voice came out quickly as her nervous fingers braided the end of her hair. “What will you do, m’Lady?” Izra asked as she finished Hunnigan’s braid.

Lady Mossbow sat silently for a couple of minutes contemplating her next action. Every survival instinct in her body told her not to go. Curiosity wanted to see what was happening and a lack of ignorance told her of the consequences of not going. “I have to go to the throne room,” she spoke in defeat. Lady Mossbow grabbed the venom and stood from her chair. Guess she was not going to get her usual fix until nightfall. Hunnigan walked briskly to her window sill where she had a small box garden of various flowers. She dug a small hole behind the daisy and hide the vial inside the dirt; away from prying
