The general argument made by author Vindu Goel in his article “Coming Soon to Facebook: A ‘Dislike’ Button” is that there is great debate on the new upcoming thought of adding a dislike button to Facebook. More specifically, having a dislike button would be beneficial to some but a nuisance to others. In the article, Goel doesn’t really make a claim on the new button but rather stays neutral on the topic by including other people’s view points whether they agreed or disagreed on the “dislike button.” For example, Bianchini says, “People want to express more through a button. It’s so much easier to press a button that typing a lot” (Paragraph 18). In other words, the author is proposing that a dislike button would be beneficial to Facebook
