In The media around us, reporters have always been interested in sports injuries, including ones caused by high impact sports.In “Hard Knocks” the issue of long term sport injuries was introduced.The LOng term negitive health effects of high impact sport injuries are cuncussions and C.T.E. The negative health effect of concussions affected Bryce Monti after he was hit by a fellow teammate in a football practice collison. Bryce stated “When I got back up, I saw two score boards(15).” HE recalls after he earned himself a concussion.He was never the same he says regarding not only his life but his football career.The article states “A year later, he’s still struggling with painful headaches and he faces the possibility of permanent brain damage(15).” Bryce now may always struggle with painful headaches. Also he may have other problems with his health just because he didn't sit out long enough after his concussion. …show more content…
Reported by the Medical Researchers at BOston, “88 of 92 former NFL players… suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (C.T.E) ,a brain disease(15).” This means over 75 percent of NFL players suffer or will suffer from C.T.E most have been induced by repetitive injuries to the head. The NFL reported “ Several former players-all found to have had a C.T.E- have committed suicide, and hundreds more continue to suffer from irreversible brain damage (15).” So serious consequences have come from repeated head injuries. The long term negitive health effects of high impact sports.MAny people have had a cuncussion or C.T.E from high impact sports injuries.Now some states have laws helping stop so many high impact sports injuries
