Even though both individuals are Supernatural characters, the old man is more so trying to escape and not terrorize anyone, but in the beginning of Beloved there seem to be more terrorizing within the book, then it was in The Old Man with Enormous Wings. The old man sees more at peace and calm then beloved seems, and even though they both was discriminated, both are different in many ways of how they present themselves. I believe that the author wanted to make the old man’s feel calmer because being an old man, because he must not have enough energy to release terror, or he may have been different than what the crowd thinks of
