The BBC News article is about Donald Trumps reaction to the book Fire and Fury by Michael Wolff. Fire and Fury contains insight into Trump’s white house and administration, and in it, Wolff “paints a picture of the president as impatient, unable to grasp policy, and prone to rambling and repeating himself.” The book contains direct quotes from several named and unnamed sources in the White House, all of whom are not fans of the president. One of the sources stated that Trump’s “mental powers were slipping.” Naturally, the president took to twitter to usher his response. He tweeted, “actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart.” He continued to bash the book and Wolff, saying that he’s a fraud and the book is full of lies. …show more content…

The cartoon specifically targets the events that transpired on May 9, 2017 when F.B.I director James Corney got fired for being unwilling to comply to President Trumps multiple requests to stop the investigation on his relationship with Russia. Contrary to the Liberal ideology of independence and freedom, Donald Trump has and is being displayed as taking those things away from the directors of secret service organizations. For instance, the caption “let me assure you, nobody respects the independence of our intelligence agencies like I do. I have the best respect”, illustrates Trumps…
