I read “ Cracker the Best Dog in Vietnam” by Cynthia Kadohata this book’s genre is Historical fiction. In this book a feisty German Shepherd named Cracker gets sent to the military to become a bomb sniffing dog because her owners can’t take care of her anymore. Rick is a guy from a small town in Minnesota, he decided to join the army to prove to his family that he was more than what they thought. Rick is partnered up with Cracker who at first was stubborn didn’t listen to ANY of Rick’s commands which got Rick frustrated and he wanted to give up but after a talk with Cody (one of the other dog trainers) he decided not to and to train harder.
