When Lara crashed with Corrigan, she develops a deep guilt, and wanted……. However Kieran gives Lara love and forgiveness, continuing her transformation. Corrigan indirectly impacts Lara’s transformation through Kieran, as “he made people become what they couldn’t think they could become. He twisted something in their hearts. Even dead, he’d still do that.” (McCann 154) Corrigan impacts Kieran, letting him see the “light” in people, from his compassion and kindness. This is evident when Kieran does not express deep hate toward Lara, but forgiveness and love. Lara whom wants hate for her actions, received forgiveness, allowing her to see kindness in people, and move past her darkness. Receiving this “light” from Kieran, also allows Lara to open up after her traumatic experience, and acknowledge that life, cannot be conceded it, but has to move forward. Furthermore, the compassion granted to Lara, allows her to have faith in herself and have a connection with Kieran because of his humanity. Lara receiving kindness, continues her transformation, because she is now aware of the realities of life, and her own imprints on it, in order to move forward. The ability to be given kindness for traumatic actions, allows Lara to develop a connection with Kieran, while expressing a transformation in her fear of
