In “A Matter of Degrees”, Clive Crook argues that getting a degree does not automatically increase your pay and also that adaptability (the capability to change careers quickly, and be retrained, either on the job or away) will be extremely important in order to succeed financially in the future. Education is considered the economic cure-all of this generation; it is thought that the higher the degree the bigger the paycheck. Everyone agrees that we must advance education so that people can make bigger paychecks. The way that education is the leader of the economic anticipation shows without controversy.
