Children are so unique and different. No two are the same. They have different likes, dislikes, learning styles, and backgrounds. Children with Autism Spectrum disorder are different and challenging. They struggle with having no social relationships and communication skills. Autism Spectrum disorder is “a pervasive development disorder affecting communication and social developments and causing, at times a variety of unusual behaviors and unusual reactions to sensory stimulation.” (Kirk, Gallagher, Coleman, 2015). Many children with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) avoid eye contact, have compulsive behaviors, language difficulties, along with having no interest in other things or people. K. Lunciano, 2016” states autism spectrum disorder is characterized by deficits in social communications and social interactions across multiple contexts and restrictive behavior patterns interest or activities.” Autism Spectrum disorder is not curable, but research has deemed it to be treatable.
