There is no doubt that there are positives and negatives to advancing technology. In chapter 2 of Society and Technological change by Rudi Volti, he talks about the effects of technology and expresses that some forms of technology were made to make things easier, faster, and more efficient but others are not as successful. Relating this to my life and back to my last response paper, I think that cell phones are a great example of making things, faster, easier, and more efficient. Although there are many positives to cell phones, I think it makes people socially awkward and as children get them earlier in life, it can lead to dangerous situations.
