Summary
In Caesarea, there's a roman centurion named Cornelius . He was born a Gentile, but he observes Jewish customs and prayers. He is living as a Jew. One day, while Cornelius is praying, an angel of God appears and tells him to send some men to Joppa to talk to Peter. Frightened of the angel, he sends two of his slaves and a soldier right away.
Meanwhile, the next day in Joppa Peter is on the roof praying when he sees yet another vision. He sees a sheet being lowered down from the sky with all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds running around on it. God tells him to go ahead and kill one and eat it.
Peter tells the Almighty, "I don't eat unclean foods".
