Have you ever read a book that's all about revenge on the bullies in school, but it all ends up going horribly wrong? There is a book out there just like that, let me tell you about it. Burn For Burn, written by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian, is about three teens named Mary, Kat and Lillia. They've each been bullied in school and each have different problems at home. The three teens decide that it's finally time to get even. But that's when things start to go wrong. Unwanted drama, problems and tragedies begin to appear. Soon the teens start to realize that they are living in world of secrets. All kinds of lies, just so she could have something interesting to say. I didn't even care enough to set the record straight. It was hilarious what huge liar she was, she actually believed her own crap. Anyway it wouldn't have mattered what I said. People were going to believe what they wanted to believe. Only now, for whatever reason, I don't want Alex to think i'm some low-life dirtbag. (Han/Vivian 41) …show more content…
This was demonstrated when the girls were explaining their stories and planning revenge. When the author talks about what the three girls had done to their enemies. Mary, Kat and Lillia never thought that things would ever turn out the way that it did. They didn't intentionally try to physically hurt anyone, they just wanted them to pay for what they did. Things were never supposed to get too intense. The climax of the book is when the girls decided to get payback on their bullies. In class, Kat was talking to Alex, “I roll my eyes. I'm going to Kim's too see a band, remember?” (Han/Vivian 17) This quotes is important because it is when Kat is lying to Alex, so he doesnt figure out what she is up
