In the article, Pamela Paul mentions that one of the obvious reasons for bullying to begin at a younger age is because of how much the media is involved in children's day to day life. Children no longer play outside for fun after school, they're either in front of a tv, playing video games, or on some sort of social outlet. Not to mention that television shows have become more violent and the characters and celebrities make fun of others as it may be funny.
