At the start of the book harry is on summer “vacation” at the Dursley’s. During dinner

Harry is insulted by Aunt Marge and he accidentally blows her up like a balloon.

The Dursleys are angry with him and he decides to run away, he hops on the knight and

It takes him to Diagon alley. He only gets a warning for his encounter with Aunt Marge

Harry is no longer allowed to use magic outside of Hogwarts. Shortly after Harry finds

out that an escaped prisoner (Sirius Black) is hunting him down.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione meet up in Diagon alley and Hermione buys a cat and

names it crookshanks. Ron is paranoid that crookshanks will eat scabbers, which

of Sirius Black breaking into Hogwarts the Dementors surround and protect the

and sneaking into hogsmeade
