Anil utilized vivid demonstration to make the ideas of Google Photo concrete. In his presentation, he played with his own photo library in front of thousands of people. He tried to emphasis on the intelligent photo management in Google Photo (1:05:15 – 1:06:01). However, the function “Helps you organize and bring moments to life” [2] is an abstract idea. People did not understand how Google Photo could help in managing photos. In “Made to Stick”, Chip Heather and Dan Heather describes that “trying to teach an abstract principle without concrete foundations is like to trying to start a house by building a roof in the air” [4]. Anil needed a concrete idea that everyone could easily understand. Therefore, he presented a simple example, by showing how his selfie was automatically organized into his “Face” folder.
