All of the settings are different and are unique in their own way. Every setting seems to challenge the characters whether it be big or small.
The first place that the story takes place in is London. Alyssa travels there with her father so he can regain his memories on the memory train. After Her father regains his memories they head to the gate of the looking glass world, which is also london. In the story it's raining in
London. That's all the author really mentions about london. The atmosphere of london seems frantic because Alyssa and her father are trying to get to the looking glass world gate as soon as they can. Another place the setting takes place in is the looking glass world.
The looking glass world is a crazy place. Everything there is reversed compared to our world. Crocodiles have teeth that are like toothbrush bristles, while butterflies have razor sharp wings that could slice creatures up in an instant. The looking glass world is a place where netherlings who have committed a serious crime are banished to. This dimension is dangerous and anything can kill you. The atmosphere of this world is ominous and creepy because everything is dangerous and the characters never know what to expect from the world. The

Barry Levinson’s Wag The Dog, investigates the role of integrity and morality in individuals’ and institutions’ quest for power. Brean’s motto ‘change the story, change the lead’ summarises the Government’s approach towards handling the sexual scandal and peoples’ attitudes towards conserving truthfulness and ethical behaviour when trying to obtain influence. It explores one 's willingness to lie, exploit others, neglect aspects of morality and ‘dispose of’ innocent citizens. Brean refers to a war tragedy and the Government’s response to quell public outrage by distracting them with a new war, ‘it’s not a new concept’: it is a strategy repeatedly utilised to gain or maintain authority, as is demonstrated in the film. Thus, Levinson shows that maintaining ethics and honesty is the first obstacle in the quest for power.…
