I began my career at State Farm as an Underwriting Assistant in Life Company, Variable Products. My position entailed ordering necessary documents such as medical records, MVRs and OSTs for the Underwriter to accurately review each file. I was successful in my role and later became a UAS (Underwriting Administrative Specialist) in the Premier Case Unit which underwrites policies for a million dollars or more. I process initial and final job offers which includes calculating salaries for employees receiving a job movement such as a promotion or change in geographic location. I quickly showed high initiative as a leader in my position which enabled me to accept a developmental opportunity as an Analyst in Claims Data Analytics. I continue to work on the workforce migration project; however, I am now responsible for various data tasks which include analyzing complex data and prepping data for hiring sessions. I have enjoyed being part of the workforce migration team as it has enabled me to build my skill set and prepare for my next career opportunity.
In order to continue developing, I am working towards a LOMA FLMI designation. I successfully completed seven LOMA courses with a completion date set for Oct 2016. I received the LOMA ALMI designation in July 2015. I received the ASC – Life Insurance designation in April of 2016. I am attending Lincoln University in Normal, IL. I will receive a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts in October 2016.
