Instead of focusing on the one short story “A Good Man is hard to Find,” he used his time to explain four other stories. It does not make sense to discover four stories in the amount of time he had. It would have been much simpler and informative to have analyzed one short story. In addition, his discussion was not properly prepared. He was basing himself off a written paper. He expressed a lack of effort and interest. He presented himself in a lazy matter. His tone of voice was low, body language was stiff, and he did not seem amused with his own discussion. He portrayed himself in a matter as if he was afraid to explain himself fully given that the room was filled with minorities. He gave the impression that he did not want to step on anybody’s toes so he just gave a half prepared presentation. The fact that he is a scholar gives an impression of extreme knowledge and presentation skills. There’s no doubt he isn’t well educated, he just isn’t right for the part as a presenter.
