He began to yell and while grabbed onto a ledge with one hand and standing on a lower one he swung his rifle over his shoulder and began firing into the face of the beast. The rifle let out the loud cracks of its anti personnel bullets into the front of the monster. It let out a shrill and eerie screech, much like that of a T-rex you see in the movies but much heavier and booming. The creature threw its head back and scuttled away. Grant and the rest kept climbing as fast as they possibly could. He struggled to find ledges strong enough and wide enough for him to pull himself up onto. …show more content…
The could still see the monster pacing back and forth less than 50 feet away, as if it was planning its next attack. Suddenly it charged forwards, at the cliff face. It angled its head down and hit the cliff with a massive thud. The rock underneath the man's fingers and feet shook and rumbled. It was trying to shake them off the cliff. Grant finally reached the top just as the creature hit the wall again, this time the Russian at the bottom was loosened and his hold gave out. He tumbled onto the creature’s back. He looked as if he were going to slide off before he found a gap in the beast’s armor and held on to its hard shell. It began to buck wildly in attempt to shake off the unwanted rider. He stuck the rifle right under one of the plates of armor and began to fire. It shrieked again even louder this time as bullets pierced a soft part of its body. It threw its head up again, this time launching the Russian 30 feet in the air and dropping him to what was certain death on
