After reading the assigned material for this week, I do not think that athletes should receive money for playing NCAA sports. In the article, “US College Connection”, Posnanski reports all of the incentives that college athletes are given. For example, NCAA athletes are provided with free tuition, room and board, access to exceptional facilities, and the best coaches and doctors. The list continues on. If the system were to start paying athletes for participating in sport, it brings up several questions of where this money would come from and if all college athletes would get paid commission. Some questions I have are: Would they start cutting the coaches’ salaries?, Would only Division 1 athletes get paid?, What about players who sit the
