My role is the sheriff of Cooke County. My job is to enforce a peaceful evacuation and prepare for emergency rescues. Maintain citizen safety from the storm. Organize evacuations and ensure emergency communications are functioning. My department is located on 300 Co Rd 451, Gainesville, TX 76240. There was a population of 38,467 (2013) in 902 square mile area. The climate of Cooke County gets 35 inches of rain per year. Snowfall is 4 inches and precipitation is 72. There are 272 sunny days and the comfort level of humidity is 24. The weather for Cooke County is 66 F, precipitation 0%, humidity 43% and the wind is 12 mph.
