On addressing his illegal immigration plans, Senator Marco Rubio claims most illegal immigrants do not come from Mexico (rather from Guatemala, and Honduras) when in fact multiple studies and sources place Mexico as the country that produces the most illegal immigrants for the U.S.

The report cites that about 60% of illegal immigrants in America are from Mexico. Furthermore, there are about 10.8 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally. This means there are over six million illegal immigrants in the U.S. According to U.S. News’ Paul Bedard, the majority of illegal immigrants are in fact from Mexico. Evidently Marco Rubio’s illegal immigration statement does not show much credibility.
