I support with you all the way that the staff should be culturally competent in this mixing sociocultural environment. During the orientation and new hiring training the health care facility should provide some cultural diversity education. I think they should even consider prior hiring any staff. The health care facilities should recruit and retain candidates from various racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. By embracing cultural competence and diversity in health care, providers can improve the overall quality of care. The staffs with differing backgrounds, and alternative skills from the diverse employees would have a bottom line benefit for the health care environment, a value would be added.
