There have recently been scientific studies that have shown the way teens balance their nutrition affects their the way they feel. Firstly, for example, “Food high in saturated fat are not good for your waistline or your mood they can cause dementia and depression.”(Haupt ,2011). This statement means that the higher intake of highly saturated fat foods can cause mental instability in young adults. Furthermore, another example states,“The foregoing case demonstrates how food insecurity can be a risk factor with regard to poor mental health”(Compton, 2014). In this excerpt Compton is trying to explain, that this case of unhealthy dieting is causing teens to have emotional problems and/or complications. But on the
