In this supplement review, Lift Your Fitness will be taking a look at one of the most popular protein supplements around; Optimum Nutrition (ON) Gold Standard Whey. Let's take a look at this supplement and see if it deserves the popularity. We will be reviewing the protein based on these things: Taste/Mixability, Macros/Protein Content, and Price. Let's get started.

Taste/Mixability: 8.5/10

The first thing we will look at is the taste and the mixability of ON Gold Standard Whey. LYF has given this protein a score of 8 out of 10. We have not tasted all the flavors that there to offer of this product, but the ones that we have tasted have been very good. The other great thing about this product is that when we have mixed it, both with water and milk, there have been no clumps. A great taste and even better mixability

The macros on one serving (31g, Chocolate Malt) looks like this: 120cal/24gP/1gF/3gC. While these macros are good, they just aren't overly amazing. You can find many other protein powders with extremely similar macros and protein content.

Price: 8/10

For this part of the review we are looking at the price of a 5lb container of protein. Also included in this score is not just the overall price, but the value of what you are paying. A 5lb container costs $57 and contains about 71 servings. That puts the cost per serving at about $0.80. This is a great value, especially given its great taste and fairly good macros.

Overall Score: 8/10

Considering all the things above, LYF has given Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey an overall score of 8 out of 10, a great score. We highly recommend this protein powder to anybody looking for something new to try, although you've probably already heard of and tried this product.
