The debate is ongoing of whether athletes should be paid for their services and for the images that are created while playing college sports. Some individuals believe that college athletes receive great compensation by being allowed to receive a free education from their scholarships. Others believe that these athletes should receive a part of the revenue that their school make. My opinion is that I do not believe college athletes should receive a set salary or monetary benefits, but should receive some benefits from the revenue that their school makes because the athletes bring in the revenue for the school. As in O’Bannon v. NCAA, a major sentiment from some individuals is that college athletes are being exploited by their school sports
