When I was in High School, I performed as Beta Club president for two years. While president, the Beta Club complete many project including a donation to Heifer International. How we were going to raise donations was left to decide between myself and the rest of the Beta Club officers, so all final decisions and deadlines were mine to decide. To raise money, we had each Homeroom class compete against each other to see who could raise the most money. During the semester, we held an event where classes competed in games against each other, and the winners won so much money to help them win the prize.…

The subculture I chose is the FFA which is also known as the future farmer organization. I started in this organization when I was a sophomore in high school. The organization starts in the middle school and goes into high school. My high school isn’t big on FFA, so I had to find out through a mutual friend. When I started in this club I didn’t know what to except so I was shy at first and didn’t volunteer for activates as much as I should have.…

Having the position came with many responsibilities. One thing I really focused on was bringing the chapter together with activities including: a fashion show, various contests, and a lock-in with games. Another aspect I hit on was recruitment. I organized an assembly for the middle school to briefly show them the National FFA Organization and what the chapter has done and what it can potentially do at local, state, or even national levels. I received my Greenhand and Chapter Degrees during my first two years.…

As a possible incoming student, who not only desires to, but needs to learn and attend a favorable campus, the things that I can offer and/or bring are my experiences and skills. I will try to help enrich the campus community as much as I can. Although, my experiences and interests may be easily overlooked by some because of the simple fact that I am “only seventeen,” and that everyone is still continuously evolving. I believe I can still bring something to only help enrich the community. A particular experience that I know differentiates from others is, being Hmong.…

The work of the first organization was primarily educational. I was responsible for organizing all public events on campus. As president of the religious group, my responsibilities were to make sure that the needs of each individual in the community were met. Both of these leadership opportunities taught me a great deal. I learned about the value of teamwork, and the importance of delegating responsibility, not just to ease my own burden, but also to help create a sense of commitment, responsibility, and ownership among group members.…

First of all, I love to try out new activities, clubs, and teams. One of them is Air Cadets (Royal Canadian Air Cadet). Well, the Air Cadets is a program (for youth between ages 12-18) where we are involved in serving the community. We would often host fundraising events such as, tagging (selling poppies for Remembrance Day), collecting electronic waste for recycling to protect the environment, and door-to-door selling pizzas to raise money for the Canadian Legion. This program also helps in developing our leadership skills, interpersonal skills and team building skills.…
