Many people can relate to a movie character or a book character in some way or another. People may relate to a character through their appearance, others may relate through their personality. I can relate to Jess Bhamra from Bend It Like Beckam because we both like to play soccer, but we haven’t played on a team before, both of our dads are overprotective, and our sisters can both be trusted with secrets that we tell them. The first way I can relate to Jess is in that we both play soccer, but not on an actual team. In the movie, Jess plays soccer in the park with some boys that are close to her family. I go over to my best friend Smalls’ house a lot and we play soccer with his family. Neither of us have played on an actual team before
