In this research article Duff, Gardner and Osborne (2014) report on a study on the development and effectiveness of the Respiratory Skills update model in improving surgical nurses ‘skills in respiratory assessment. The authors argue that there is a need for ongoing evidence-based education and that their model is effective in improving surgical nurse’s competence and skills.
