“They’re gonna lose,” my teammate commented, referring to the team we were about to play.
“You never know. They might win today.” I said sarcastically, while we walked into the gym. My teammate scrunched her face at me as if I was insane. “I’m kidding,” I said smiling. We sat, our faces fixated on our phones’ screens on the gym floor of LP Wilson, waiting for the last game to finish so we could get ready and be prepared for the start of the first quarter.
Beeeeep! The third quarter was over. We were fifteen to four and I knew that the other team wouldn’t be able to pass fifteen, so we were obviously going to win.
