In attempts to evolve with society’s needs, health care is constantly changing. It’s nearly impossible to say for sure where it will fall in the next ten years. There are many thoughts and hypotheses out there for the public eye. My prediction includes an immense need for providers, especially Physician assistants.
There is a known gap between physician shortage and primary care demand. I feel that this is where Mid-Level providers will become vital. The amount of patients seeking care will continue to escalate. The changes in health care coverage, such as the Affordable Care Act will only widen that already existing gap.
