To start, both Ostrov and Nixon’s research studies were conducted on a random assignment. Another strong feature is that Reddy provided a real life situation to help show the effects of relational aggression. This allowed for groups to be equivalent before they conducted their research studies. Reddy provides good strong features for her argument, but there are some weak features as well. To start Reddy does not fully explain how Ostrov and Nixion’s research studies where preformed. This means we cannot tell if a control group was used. We also do not know if these study’s where isolated case studies or if they were group study’s. Lastly Reedy seems very unsure about the argument. According to Scutti Dr. Pamela Orpinas, professor in the University Of Georgia Department Of Health Promotion and Behavior, and her colleges conducted a study to find out whether girls are more likely to use relational aggression then boys. The study was made up or 620 students from nine middle schools. The students were equally divided between boys and girls. Scutti states that Orpinas found that the boys had a higher rating of relational aggression then the girls. This article can be connected to Reedy’s article through the theory that younger children are showing signs of relational aggression. Both articles explore relational aggression in younger children. In my opinion Reddy makes a good argument I strongly believe that relational aggression is a thing that should be taken care of. I believe Reedy had a strong argument and was able to back it
