Suleiman's Leadership Qualities

Suleiman was a ruler over many cultural back grounds. Including Albanians, Greeks, Tartars, Kurds, Arabs Copts and Jews. As ruler of this empire he had to delegate authority to local governors. The ruling class were all members of the empire. The biggest difference in the Ottoman Empire was the use of slaves and the boys they enslaved. Non-Muslim boys were enslaved as a form of human tax. By enslaving these young boys they removed them from their families and the boys became loyal to Suleiman. These boys were later given high military and administrative positions loyal to Suleiman.
Akbar was quite a different ruler than Suleiman. Taxes were also important to the Mughal State and Akbar’s administrators were paid according to how many soldiers
