Suicide Warning Signs Kapri Talley Suicide is the third leading cause of death between the ages of 10 and 24. Approximately 4,600 lives are lost each year. In the age group 10-24, 81% of the deaths were males and 19% were females. In grades 9-12, 16% were considering suicide, 13% was gonna make a plan, and 8% tried to take their own lives. 1 in 12 teens have attempted suicide. Some warning signs to prevent this from happening is listening to the kids. If one says they want to kill themselves or look for a way to die you may want to talk to that kid because they are more than likely wanting
