‘Suicide Squad’ gets negative feedback from critics; Fans not buying the reviews
Looks like DC’s much-anticipated baddies buildup “Suicide Squad” is a hit with fans despite not having released. While many critics have blasted the movie, DC fans are not willing to accept their reviews.
Not only this, they have also signed a petition to shut down Rotten Tomatoes for giving the movie poor ratings, The Independent reports. This was after the website gave the film a dismal favorability rating of 35 percent, a starkly low rating for a movie that boasts of an impressive star cast and has been marketed with great fanfare before the release.
Notably, it is not just Rotten Tomatoes that has expressed disappointment with “Suicide Squad.” There are many.

Well, since most of the critics failed to see merit in this much-hyped DC offering, it cannot be ruled out that something is missing.
DC needs to introspect, for sure. However, it is also true that Marvel has been offering the audiences superhero diet in plenty and it might be a reason that DC offerings are not doing well. According to E! News, Marvel has come up with three Iron Man movies, three Captain America movies, two Thor movies (third is on the way), and two Avengers as well. So, is it any surprise if DC’s charm is fading?
As for fans, DC loyalists are huge in number and they have already proved their love for DC with “Batman v Superman”. This recent March release was also panned by critics but made an impressive $800-million-plus worldwide, at the box office. So, it would not be really a surprise if “Suicide Squad” sets the cash registers ringing, when it hits theaters tomorrow.
After all, it is one of the most awaited releases of the year and given the hype it has generated, fans are sure to flock to theaters in droves to watch the good baddies take on the new

DC on the other hand, is all about the depressing highlights of the protagonist’s life, an example of this would be in the beginning of Batman VS Superman where it shows Batman's parents dying in slow motion and Superman's adopted father dying. Another thing that Marvel does is giving more backstory and insight into the antagonists and villains of their movies. An example of this would be Hela in the new Thor movie because Hela was trapped for a millenia and wants revenge for trapping her. She was imprisoned after her behavior was reinforced by her father, and while she goes about it in a way that most of us wouldn’t her reasons are very human and much easier to relate to. Another area where Marvel and DC usually differ is the nature of their villains.…

Although the movie El Topo is widely viewed as a cinema classic within the film industry and by movie critics it still lacks any name recognition on the mainstream, and has almost zero appeal to the modern mainstream audiences. However, despite the challenges of a rerelease of El Topo it still has the potential to make a profit in its rerelease. (For those of you that might not know what an Embargo is, it’s the blocking of any reviews from critics before a certain Date and Time.) We saw an outpouring of reviews that have been overwhelmingly positive, and rightfully so! Wonder Woman was an absolute delight, the opening act was strong and bold as we see Diana growing up as a princess on Themyiscara, evolving into a warrior princess. The film does a great job of handling act…

This shows that while Zack Snyder is a good director the Marvel directors are plentiful and more talented. In conclusion, the Marvel and DC universes are similar in some ways but ultimately different. While the DC universe hasn’t even scratched the surface yet in their potential, they also haven’t come close to the amount of success that the Marvel movies have had. Also with only one movie releasing next year they will not be doing any catching up anytime soon.…

Almost every Marvel character has one super human ability, where it comes down to one person with super strength, one person with super speed, and one person with the ability to fly. In DC the characters have more than one ability, for example Superman doesn’t just have eye-beams or incredible strength or incredible speed or the ability to fly, but all of those and more (McKenzie, 2010). Marvel movies are better than Dc, and why is that, on an average since the 2000`s marvel movies have averaged a 60 percent of Fan who voted they like marvel more while Dc movies only get 47 percent of fan votes . Marvel is more related to real life in terms of cities like New York, where in Dc the locations are in outer space or in places no one has heard of before. This has let me to believe that as of now marvel is more favored by fans than DC because of who goes to see the movies and purchase the products, and Marvel sells more than…
