Hello Thinh! After reading your analysis, I believe that Suicide Squad is an interesting movie, and I might watch it whenever I have a free time. I also heard some information about this movie a few month ago, and I saw one of the news which said Suicide Squad attracted a lot of people and brought huge revenue source for manufacturers. My partner, Alexia, and I had to make a propaganda poster about the military. We decided that we wanted to design a poster that included symbols and other words connecting to fighting for your own country. When we were trying to come up with a theme we thought about the Marines. For the people seeing this poster, we wanted them to join the military/Marines and tell others so it could be a chain. Some images provided was one of them being an American flag.…

Franco Zeffirelli did a fantastic job portraying Shakespeare’s vision of Romeo and Juliet (1968 film). The horrible tragedy of the fate of two teenagers due to the consequence of an unreasonable feud between their two families, the Montague and the Capulets. A timeless story of young forbidden love that cannot and will not be stopped by anything other than death. Romeo and Juliet has always been a story of a deep passionate and pure love that we have all wished for, of course not to the same end. I believe the play to have succeeded on the level of storytelling and having the audience become emotionally invested in the outcome.…

In a series of posters, the British government utilized a variety of persuasive techniques to convince people to join the war effort. The World War II propaganda used bright colors, a clear concise message, and eye-catching images to get their message understood. The first propaganda poster is constructed to associate factory workmanship with the danger of the front lines with a strong central image. The second propaganda poster features a female factory worker and is designed to convince women to work in factories. The third propaganda poster communicates a message of support towards the military with pathos rhetoric.…

Billboard dealt with things in a more serious manner as well, headlining, “Mental Health Experts Weigh In on Kanye West's Continued Hospitalization”. Although they used People magazine which I previously discussed as a source of information, Billboard still choose to dig deeper into the issue instead of scrambling through what appears on the surface. This magazine went as far enough to have “real mental health experts” weigh in on the situation in order to give their article more authenticity. Here we see Kayne being compared to Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes in terms of going through a 5150. I can see as to why this was a good comparison, but I would argue that the factor of these women being child stars and of European descent cancels out…

Jenna Yun Mr. Leckey AP Psychology Period 6 10/30/15 AP Psychology Extra Credit Movie Quarter 1 Overall, my thoughts on the film, The Silver Linings Playbook, were positive. I found it interesting that the author decided to connect mental disorders and dancing together. The fact that Pat, played by Bradley Cooper, and Tiffany, played by Jennifer Lawrence, were able to overcome their mental illnesses by dancing together was significant. In addition, the movie showcased the changes in a family relationship really well and had unique characters that were different from previous movies I saw. For example, Pat’s father has OCD and believed in superstition, while Pat’s mother looked over the family quietly.…

This movie poster starts off with a tagline that says “From the Director Of Saw and Insidious” what that is supposed to mean is that the movie came out after those two movies and all three movies are similar but different in their own ways to one another. What follows up is the Title of the movie in big bold letters. Underneath the title it allows the audience to know that the film is based on a true story and it is not made up. The placement of the tagline, title, and the statement that is based on a true story is located on the very top. It is placed on the very top so it allows viewers to see the rest of the movie poster and not just that part of the poster.…
