With the war brought on, they were buried under cons,
With blood dripping from their wrists and backs
There was one lone soul that survived the
Suicide Pact
All around the world and all around the state
30-50 teens chose to seal their fate.
Beautiful young eyes had gone cold with lies
As a sacrifice to say, that none of this is okay.
When the man you love or the daughter you raised
Is being sent to their death and left without praise.

Halloween had come to pass and thanksgiving could never last, only because no one could be grateful for what has happened to the world. This year there were no turkeys, no candy, no autumn colors, no warm fires, no family reunions, and no blue-gray skies, everything was black and white,

I am going to do this, it’s my decision and I think it is what is best for our family. Johnny won’t kill you if you behave yourself and continue doing what I’ve taught you to do. I may get hurt, and I may not come back, but Danny if you get a good future out of this I’m fine with giving my life away. I know you’ll do great when you finally become that interior design artist you’ve always wanted to be. I may not need your permission but I do want you to accept that this is what I have chosen to do with my life.”

Conner Martin can see the sadness in his younger brother’s eyes, Danny Martin would turn 18 in a few months and all of this, going into the army, will take away the financial struggle they’ve been having while trying to find a good college to get him into and taking care of each other. Conner Martin, a father figure to the 17 year old boy, was leaving and Danny figured it was his fault. An escape to find the young adulthood he should have had instead of taking care of his younger, stupid, unworthy brother. Danny figured the Conner wanted to be hurt, to be killed, to escape their poor lives, and enter the gates of heaven. Could he really risk his life to ensure a better future for Danny? Who would do that? But the same thought goes along with; would he really kill himself to escape the responsibility thrown onto
