In 2013, there were 44,193 reported suicide deaths. Suicide is a serious topic that several overlooks, thinking it’s just something you can ignore and it’ll go away. Suicide is a serious problem that many people just brush off, believing that suicide isn’t as bad as cancer and shouldn’t be taken seriously. Suicide kills thousands of people each year, which needs to be addressed and fixed.
Suicide is a large killer of various Americans and people in general. “Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US, being the 3rd leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 to 14.” (“Suicide”). There are ways to help people who are suicidal, you need to reassure them and make sure they are safe, help them find a hobby or something big that will bump their confidence to live. Suicide kills thousands every year, we need to fix that.
