As the Psychiatric Association Thailand states that from the 1,329 suicidal attempters in Thailand in 2011, 61 people were successful. From this group, there were 40% had depressive symptoms and about 70% wanted to die after they fail at first time. People can’t prevent themselves from this cause. Human naturally have diseases when they get older or depend on their habits and the way they live. We wouldn’t know what our life will bring in the future, so we need to live to see. A lot of people usually have two reactions after they know what disease they need to fight, surprise and depress. That’s how the ‘Depression’ was started. Health problems involved both physical and mental conditions. According to GotoKnow’s article about suicidal ideation, they provided the survey from one nurse who works in one hospital and she told the interviewer that “I am responsible of cancer patients whom receiving chemotherapy. I have seen a lot of patients who have the suicidal ideation after doctor told them what disease they encounter with.”. She also gave few examples from her real experience. First example, there was one patient, she had metastatic colorectal cancer. She told her nurse that “After I knew that I have cancer, I couldn’t imagine how I survive, how I find the money, I walked at my front yard and the suicidal ideation flashed in my mind. I want to die. ” Another example, a patient who have the cancer around his face and head. He talked about his thought, “I am sick. I have power to do nothing. My body was worse. I am very tired. I can feel my uncomfortable and tight heart. Sometimes, I didn’t want to live anymore. I have multiple diseases, not only cancer but also diabetes and hypertension.”.
