He agreed to marry them and he does even though he knows it’s not a good idea and bad things happen because of it. Romeo kills Tybalt and gets exiled, and Juliet becomes suicidal. After Romeo gets exiled Juliet is supposed to marry Paris, she goes to Friar Lawrence to ask what she should do, she brings a knife with her planning to kill herself if he can not help her. He thought of a plan and she is accepting of it. He knew Juliet was capable of suicide, but he let her go anyways. “Do thou but call my resolution wise,/ And with this knife I’ll help it presently.” (Shakespeare IV.i.54-55). He did help her with his plan, but when Romeo killed himself because he did not get the note Friar should’ve known Juliet was going to do something when she did not go with him, but still left her there. It’s fair that Friar Lawrence is punished because he knew nothing good was going to happen but he still stood back watching it all
