As the head of the organization, I know it can be hard being a police officer or just being in law enforcement period and I also know that there are a lot challenges that come with being in law enforcement, how it can affect your personal life. Suicide amongst police officers are always high because they see the good, bad and the ugly parts of every situation and those things can take on someone as well as their minds. We must remember our officers are still human and still have emotions and you never know how someone can handle those type of incidents that officers encounter. In this organization we do not encourage suicide and I understand what this officer meant to this organization. But the way this incident happened, I can only give some of things of traditional funeral service because this was his/her choice for that to happen. Now I greatly appreciated what he/she had done for this organization and that how the funeral will be. So with that being said we will provide some of things that we would normally do for officers that dies in the line of duty, I will provide traffic control and police escorts, the mourning band and the officers casket so …show more content…
We all need an escape from this job sometimes rather it be drugs and alcohol, boxing or suicide; it just depends on how long we can handle the situation at hand before we hit rock-bottom. If we can call someone weak because they went through some traumatic situations and end up committing suicide, then we can call officers that do drugs and alcohol weak as well. Not saying that either is right or wrong but cannot judge people on how they handle things differently from others.
