Demonstrating Bravery

Bravery can help you to do something that is new, frightening, or dangerous. People may need bravery to speak out against injustice or persevere when a task is difficult. Think about an event in your life that required bravery.

Write a personal narrative that recounts the event. Describe what happened and the impact the event had on your life.

As you write, remember your essay will be scored based on how well you: develop a multi-paragraph response to the assigned topic that clearly communicates the purpose of your story to the audience describe the characters, setting, and conflict using meaningful sensory descriptions

We deal with situations everyday where we might just need a little bit of bravery to do something courageous. Now I can't speak for you but, I can speak for myself to say that I've never used bravery to save someone else's life but my own but, whose to say being brave for yourself isn't as heroic as being brave for the well being of others. You see right now I've felt like we've had sometime to get to know each other so for that reason I will tell you my own personal tale of bravery for it was long and hard but it made me the woman i am today and i couldn't be any more grateful for …show more content…
See i had just moved to the new school district area sure I knew some faces but, not enough to make me feel comfortable enough to talk in front of others. I don't remember why I had become the shy type all of the sudden when i spend middle school as a social butterfly but, earth to jenna we weren't in middle school anymore we we're rolling with the big dogs now on the path to college. See not only was i shy but i was also extremely self conscious at the fact that although i was technically i high school student my height and voice were still in the hallways of middle school. I thought this was normally though; the shyness that is not the height we know for a fact my height was not normal, but then day without talking to anyone turned into weeks and before i'd known it it became two months into the school year and no one has ever heard my voice and they probably don't even know my name. I thought honestly this is what my entire four years of high school would be like until that moment where something happened and just like that my reign as the mute girl came crumbling before
