Through weeks of research, we discovered that there are over fifty different names for sugar; including maltodextrin, high fructose corn syrup, muscovado, and sucrose. Another shocking fact that we learned from our research was that the healthy amount of sugar to consume per day is two tablespoons or thirty grams for women and three tablespoons or forty-five grams for men. However, we learned that the average American consumes over six tablespoons or eighty-two grams of sugar per day.
