The goal of a sugar free diet is for people to significantly reduce the amount of sugar they consume. The main idea behind the diet is that sugar is both harmful and addictive. Advocates of the sugar free diet make a wide range of claims about the health benefits of going sugar free including; reducing levels of fatigue, reducing hunger pains, improved mood and mental focus, reducing headaches, increasing memory, rapid weight loss, and the preventing of many diseases and cancers.1 People who support this diet can be broken into two main groups.
